Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars and 47/100 ($5,780.47), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

BEING all of that certain lot or parcel of land formerly being in Tygart District and known as Lot No. twenty-three (23) as soon on the plat of Fairplains, Addition No. 3 to the City of Parkersburg of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia, in Plat Book No. 2, page 96 and more particularly bounded and described as follows.
BEGINNING at a stake in the westerly side of “A: Street in the southerly line of Lot No. 24; thence with “A” Street in a southerly direction 90.53 feet to a stake in the line of Lot No. 22 thence with the common line of Lot Nos 22 and 23 in a northwesterly direction 186.31 feet to an alley; thence with said alley in a northwesterly direction 30.02 feet to a stake in the line of Lot No. 24; thence with the common line of Lot Nos 23 and 24 in a southeasterly direction 158.11 feet to “A” Street, at the Place of the Beginning.
BEING the same lot conveyed to Laura B Kelbaugh by deed from Jesse F. Duncan, Jr. and others dated the 2nd date of March, 1999, and of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s office in Deed Book No. 995, at page 236.

Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.

The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Empire Builders, Inc., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 4th day of OCTOBER, 2023. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth here in above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
