Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($19,900.00), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEING on the Northeast side of Washington Street (now Sixth Street) and beginning at a stake in a line with said street, 170 feet from Green Street; Thence in a line parallel with Green Street feet to a stake in the line of the Northwestern Virginia Railroad Company (now the Baltimore & Ohio R.R. Company); thence with the line of said railroad, 40 feet, more or less, to the corner of lot conveyed the Northwestern Railroad Company (now the Baltimore & Ohio railroad company); thence with the line of said Northwestern Virgina Railroad Comany to the place of Beginning.
Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.
The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Jimmie Harper Construction, under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 5th day of DECEMBER, 2023. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth here in above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
