Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Twenty One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Dollars and 00/100 ($21,770.00), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

BEING all of Lots Nos. 16 and 17 in Block One of Dudley’s Second Addition to the City of Parkersburg as fully shown and described on plat of said Addition of record in the office of the Clerk of the County Court of Wood County, West Virginia, in Deed Book No. 80, at page 92, to which plat reference is hereby made for a full and complete description of the real estate herein conveyed. Said lots facing on 39th Street and descrived as follows:

BEGINNING on the southerly side of Saunders Avenue, (now 39th Street) at the corner of Lots Nos. 15 and 16; thence in a southeasterly direction with line of Lot No. 15 one hundred and twenty-five feet to a fifteen foot alley; thence in a westerly direction fifty feet to the corner of Lots Nos. 17 and 18; thence in a northerly direction with line of Lot No. 18, one hundred and twenty-five feet to Saunders Avenue; thence in an easterly direction fifty feet to the place of beginning;

BEING the same real estate conveyed unto the parties of the first part by Harry A. Feick and Edith Feick, his wife, by deed bearing date the 17th day of February, 19441, and of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s office in Deed Book No. 256, at page 454.

Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.

The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Jimmie Harper Construction., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 28th day of September, 2023. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth here in above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
