CITY OF WEIRTON,
WEST VIRGINIA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT-CORONAVIRUS (CDBG-CV) PROGRAM –
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Weirton, West Virginia is requesting applications from non-profit entities seeking CDBG-CV funds for eligible projects/activities.
As a Federal Entitlement, the City of Weirton, West Virginia receives funding from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) Program. Through the March 27, 2020 passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, the City of Weirton received an allocation of CDBG-CV funds in the amounts of $249,843 (Round I) and $96,478 (Round III).
The City of Weirton is making $15,000.00 available in CDBG-CV funds under this request for applications.
CDBG-CV applications under this request must support projects/activities that 1) benefit low- to moderate income residents of the City of Weirton; and 2) prevent, prepare for, and response to coronavirus. Additional project/activity eligibility information is provided in the application packet.
Application packets for CDBG-CV funds under this request are available at the Planning & Development Office, City of Weirton, 200 Municipal Plaza during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by emailing
