ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS

2017 City of Charles Town Municipal Election

 

Please be advised that members of the Military and their families along with other citizens residing outside of the United State may request an application to vote absentee beginning on January 2, 2017.

Citizens can register to receive absentee ballots for all elections by participating in the the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) Program at  www.fvap.gov.  The City will begin to accept absentee voting application from all other citizens beginning March 2, 2017.  An absentee voter application can be obtained by contacting Debbie Wilson at Charles Town City Hall at (304) 734-3250 or by email at dwilson@charlestownwv.us.  A downloadable version of the absentee ballot application is available by visiting the West Virginia Secretary of State’s election webpage at  http://www.sos.wv.gov/elections/uocava/Pages/default.aspx.  Information on who is eligible to vote absentee and the procedure for completing an absentee ballot can be obtained at http://www.sos.wv.gov/elections/uocava/Pages/default.aspx
