PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED 2017-2018 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
Notice is hereby given by the City of Parkersburg that a draft of the Annual Action Plan for FY2017 has been prepared. Due to a delay in release of allocation amount from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the grant amounts and units impacted by Federal programs are estimated from FY2016 with a two percent cut. The Annual Action Plan for FY2017 outlines how the City intends to expend the projected Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds.
In accordance with the federal regulations at 24 CFR, Part 91, the City of Parkersburg is required to prepare and submit an Annual Action Plan for its Housing, Community and Economic Development Programs.
The proposed use of funds for FY2017 was developed after holding two separate public hearings in Parkersburg on February 14, 2017 and February 16, 2017 and the review of local community outreach organizations identified needs and funding requests.
Persons interested in the use of the identified funding sources are encouraged to attend one of the public hearings and/or provide oral or written testimony.
The final Annual Action Plan for FY2017 will be submitted to HUD for review and approval between June 13, 2017 (after the 30 day public comment period) and June 26, 2017 per CPD Notice: 16-18.
In order to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties, the City has placed its proposed Annual Action Plan for FY2017 on public display in the following locations during normal business hours beginning on May 12, 2017. Additionally, a detailed listing of all 6 public hearings can be found at:

This information will be available for public review and comment for 30 days. Comments on the proposed Annual Action Plan can be directed in writing to Ryan Barber, Development Projects Administrator, One Government Square Parkersburg, WV 26102 or emailed to: [email protected]. Comments should be received no later than 12:00pm on Monday, June 12, 2017. All comments received will be included in the document submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
