PUBLIC NOTICE
The WV Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) and The Chemours Company Washington Works have proposed a settlement of Administrative Consent Order No. MM-17-13 which resolves violation(s) of the WV Groundwater Protection Act and the WV Aboveground Storage Tank Act which occurred in Wood County, WV. In accordance with the proposed Consent Order, The Chemours Company Washington Works has agreed to pay administrative penalties and to comply with the Act. Final settlement is subject to comments received during the thirty (30) day period ending August 3, 2017.
