NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Wood County Civil Service Commission will conduct an Entrance test for Deputy Sheriff on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Physical agility portion of the test will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Jackson Middle School, 1601 34th Street, Vienna, WV. The written portion will be held the same day as the Wood County Courthouse, 1 Court Square, Parkersburg, WV at 1:00 p.m.
Applications will be accepted through June 27, 2024 at Noon.
WV State age requirement is 18-45 years (§7-14-8).
Physical Agility requirements are as follows:
1) 1.5 mile run to be completed in less than 14.36 minutes.
2) 28 sit-ups in 1 minute or less.
3)18 push-ups in 1 minute.
