NOTICE
The object of the above-captioned action is custody of a child and possible termination of parental rights. Notice is hereby given that an Adjudicatory Hearing, and if appropriate a Disposition Hearing will be held before The Honorable Joseph E. Barki, Judge, in his Chambers located in the Hancock County Courthouse, 102 Court Street, New Cumberland, West Virginia, on April 22, 2025 , at 1:00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether the parental rights of the Respondent, Ian Blackwell , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born February 24, 2020, should be terminated. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether the parental rights of the Respondent, John Doe , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born December 28, 2023, should be terminated. Notice is hereby further given to Respondent, Ian Blackwell , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born February 24, 2020, and to John Doe , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born December 28, 2023, of his right to counsel at every stage of the proceeding and that such proceeding can result in the permanent termination of parental rights. Notice is hereby further given to Respondent, Ian Blackwell , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born February 24, 2020, and to John Doe , or any person claiming to be the biological father of a child born December 28, 2023, that a copy of the petition and possible termination of parental rights can be obtained from the Hancock County Circuit Clerk at the Clerk’s office located in the Hancock County Courthouse, 102 Court Street, New Cumberland, West Virginia. This hearing may be rescheduled without further notice or publication.
