The first reading of the following ordinances took place at a Regular Meeting of Weirton City Council on Monday, March 10, 2025. The second reading is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the Weirton City Council Chambers, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, West Virginia 26062, during the Regular Meeting of Council. Interested parties may appear and make public comment on the ordinances at the Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Copies of the ordinances can be obtained by contacting the Weirton City Clerk’s Office at 304-797-8500 x1045. Ordinance No. 2240 Amending Article 505.11(A)(1) “Cruelty to Animals” in the Codified Ordinances of the City of Weirton. Ordinance No. 2241 Amending the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to Place a Yellow Line 4 Feet on Both Sides of the Driveway at 3500 Orchard Street. Ordinance No. 2242 Amending the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to Establish a Stop Sign on North Smithfield Avenue at the Intersection of North Smithfield Avenue and Liberty Avenue. Ordinance No. 2243 Modifying Ordinance No. 2168 Codified in the City of Weirton Code of Ordinances as Article 357: “Parking Permit Requirements.” Ordinance No. 2244 Amending Ordinance No. 1168, Amendment 502 of the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to Reflect the Placement of Three Stop Signs at the Intersection of Elmhurst Drive and Palisades Drive.
