HELP WANTED Caretaker for Camp Sheppard 4-H Campground. Located in Gandeeville, the facilities include a large kitchen, assembly hall and dining hall, playgrounds, fitness equipment, ball fields, nature trail, council circle, meditation area, RV and camping sites and eight handicapped-accessible cabins for lodging. Camp Sheppard is rented year-round for a variety of events such as weddings, band camps, family reunions, dinners, and is utilized for many 4-H events. Duties include mowing, weed eating, snow removal and upkeep of all grounds; tours, scheduling and reservations; marketing and promotion; monitoring, maintenance and cleanliness of all structures; and general upkeep and of the entire camp. Caretaker is required to reside on premises in house provided (no indoor pets permitted) year-round. Compensation includes free rental of a modern 3 bdr/2 bath log home with basic utilities, use of a county vehicle and an annual stipend. High School diploma and valid driver’s license are required. Knowledge of mechanics, plumbing, basic construction and repair is preferred. Must submit to background check and periodic drug testing.
