CONTRACTOR’S PROPOSAL NOITCE TO ROOFING CONTRACTORS PROJECT: Roof Replacements at the following locations 1. Ripley High School 2. Evans Elementary School 3. Ripley Elementary School The Jackson County Board of Education invites qualified contractors to bid on the following projects: (4-5) roof replacements on the Ripley High School-All scope will be Modified Bitumen roofing. (1) Roof replacement at Evans Elementary School and (1) Roof replacement at Ripley Elementary School. All will consist of Modified Bitumen roofing. All bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the Jackson County Board of Education Administrative Office, 1 School Street, Ripley, WV 25271 on Monday, December 15th 2025, at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the details of these projects. Project specifications will be distributed at this time and bidders may examine the existing conditions to provide a competitive bid. Questions may be directed to Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent – [email protected] Sealed bids will be received by the Jackson County Board of Education for the completion of projects until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8th 2026, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Sealed bids are to be submitted to the Jackson County Board of Education to the attention of Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent, P.O. Box 770, Ripley, West Virginia 25271, and marked “Roofing Bid” on the outside of the envelope. Bidders are required to be bonded, hold a valid WV Contractor’s License, and provide proof of Liability Insurance and Worker’s Compensation coverage.
