REQUEST FOR BIDS REQUEST FOR INSPECTION BIDS ON FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS, FIRE SPRINKLERS, DELUGE SYSTEMS, AND FIRE HOSES The Jackson County Board of Education will accept bids for the inspection of 20 fire alarm Systems, 9 sprinkler systems, 2 deluge systems, and 2 fire hoses found in local schools. The sprinkler systems are to be inspected quarterly and will need to be completed in July and October of 2026, and January and April of 2027, and all other inspections shall be completed between July 1, 2026 and August 11, 2026. Qualified interested parties must submit bids to Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent, P.O. Box 770, Ripley, WV 25271 by 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 29, 2026. A list of schools in which the systems are located can be obtained by contacting Tim Brown at (304) 372-7305 or by email [email protected]. Pre-bid site visits are not required but may be scheduled if desired by contacting Tim Brown. Proposals will be opened at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in the Jackson County Board of Education board room located at 1 School Street; Ripley, WV 25271. The successful bidder must have experience in this work and verify the following: 1) Possession of a current West Virginia Contractor’s License 2) Workers’ Compensation Coverage for Employees 3) Liability Insurance The Jackson County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals and waive any informality in the process.
