NOTICE REQUEST FOR BIDS HVAC Removal and Installation in various locations Bids will be accepted until 10:30 am on February 10, 2026 by the Jackson County Board of Education for the removal of old HVAC systems and installation of new HVAC systems in Henry J. Kaiser and Ravenswood Grade School. More information and specific details are listed in the Scope of Work. Work must not start before June 1, 2026 and must be completed by July 31, 2026. Contractors not previously employed by Jackson County Schools to perform such services must provide a detailed written description of their qualifications to complete this installation and two references of similar work provided for other clients. Bids should be submitted to Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent, P.O. Box 770, Ripley, WV 25271. Envelopes should be marked “HVAC Upgrades”. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be held in the Jackson County Board office at 9:00 am on January 29, 2026 where contractors will receive a copy of the Scope of Work and visit the construction sites. Within ten (10) days of the contract award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish written verification of Workers Compensation Coverage, liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 and a general contractor’s license for the State of West Virginia. The Jackson County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and wive any informality in the bidding process.
