NOTICE REQUEST FOR BIDS CHEMISTRY LAB HOOD INSPECTIONS Bids will be accepted until 10:30 A.M. on February 17, 2026 by the Jackson County Board of Education to inspect and certify nine chemistry lab hoods. Five chemistry lab hoods are located at Ripley High School and four chemistry lab hoods are located at Ravenswood High School. Hoods must pass inspection of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, be properly tagged, and have replaced fusible links made available as proof of inspection. Inspections must not start before July 1, 2026 and must be completed by July 31, 2026. Inspections must be done during the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. unless other arrangements have been made with Tim Brown by phone 304-372-3705. Bids are to be submitted to the Jackson County Board of Education P.O. Box 770, Ripley, WV 25271 or dropped off at 1 School Street, Ripley WV 25271 and marked to the attention of Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent. Envelopes should be marked “Chemistry Lab Hood Inspections”. Within ten days of the contract award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish written verification of Worker’s Compensation Coverage, Liability Insurance, and a General Contractor’s License for the State of West Virginia. The Jackson County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process. William P.
