NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (North Ravenswood United Methodist Church) NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after April 17, 2026 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to Afresh Church, Corporation all of their right, title and interest in and to a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Ravenswood Corp. District, Jackson County, West Virginia and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit: LOT NUMBER 57 as shown on the plat of North Ravenswood known as the Woods Addition and said lot being 45-8″ by 130-2″ in size as shown on the plat of North Ravenswood recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Jackson County, West Virginia in Deed Book 98, at Page 449. AND BEING the same property conveyed to the Trustees of the United Brethren Church and their successors from W. T. and Tillie McPherson by Deed dated March 9, 1923 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 106 at Page 149, reference to which is hereby made. SAID North Ravenswood United Methodist Church was declared closed effective February 20, 2025 by resolution of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
