NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF CLARKSBURG 2026-2027 PROPOSED BUDGET The City of Clarksburg will conduct a Public Hearing on its proposed 2026-2027 Levy Estimate (Budget) on Thursday evening, May 21st, at 6:00 P.M. at the regular meeting of City Council to be held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 222 West Main Street, Clarksburg, West Virginia. All citizens will have an opportunity to provide written and oral comments on the Budget and ask questions concerning the proposed Budget. The proposed Budget consists of $18,546,864 for the General Fund, $71,000 for the Coal Severance Tax Fund, $276,000 for the Police Fine Escrow Fund, $2,143,141 for the Excess Property Tax Levy Fund, $1,820,000 for the Financial Stabilization Fund, $7,230,000 for the Sales & Use Tax Fund and $1,762,750 for the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. A copy of the City’s proposed 2026-2027 Budget is available for public inspection and review at the Office of the Director of Finance, or at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 222 West Main Street, anytime Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Also, a copy may be found on our website www.clarksburgwv.gov. Members of the public may submit written comments to the City Clerk via email at [email protected] at least two (2) hours before the meeting (by 4:00P.M.) A copy of your written comment will be provided to City Council and made a part of the record of proceedings. Council Chambers is handicapped accessible.
