Pursuant to the implementing regulations of the National Environmental Policy Act and Federal Aviation Administration policies and procedures for implementing NEPA, the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport Authority is hereby providing official notice of public review for the Environmental Assessment document prepared for the following project:

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY: The Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport Authority is pursuing a project to address obstructions in the approach surfaces of Runways 5 and 23 at the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport. The project will consist of clearing 16.14 acres of trees, trimming 12.37 acres of trees and removing or lowering 5 structures.
PROJECT LOCATION: The proposed project will occur in the vicinity of the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport in Elkins, West Virginia. The proposed project locations are generally shown below.
INFORMATION AVAILABLE: The Environmental Assessment document is available for public review between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the following locations:

PUBLIC HEARING: A public hearing on the Draft EA will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 6:00 pm local time in the Randolph County Commission Chambers at the James F. Cain Annex.
COMMENTS: Comments and information relating to the Environmental Assessment for the proposed activity are hereby solicited. Such information on the activity’s impact will be considered if postmarked prior to the expiration date of this notice. All comments and information should be submitted in writing and should be mailed to:
