NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR LEGAL SERVICES
AND APPRAISAL SERVICES

The Wood County Commission wishes to obtain legal services and appraisal services for the following project:

Wood County Commission
Happy Valley Flood Mitigation Project
Acquisition of Eleven Repetitively Flooded Properties

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Attorneys responding to this Request should be able to perform title examinations, provide title insurance and conduct a real estate closing for a FEMA funded flood mitigation project.

Proposals are being accepted for the services of a Certified Real Estate Appraiser to establish the pre-flood, fair-market value of 11 private dwellings in the Happy Valley and Seven Acres areas of Wood County. All interested Certified Real Estate Appraisers are invited to submit proposals on a per-unit basis.

Procurement of these services shall be in conformity with the applicable laws and regulations of the State of West Virginia and any applicable federal agencies. Contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis. All consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a brief statement detailing qualifications and a quote for services.

The selected firm will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246, Conflict of Interest Statement and Access to Records provisions. Alternative Federal and State funding requirements may also apply.

The Wood County Commission will afford full opportunity for minority and women-owned business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to the invitation and will not discriminate against any firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap status or national origin in the contract award.
