NOTICE OF EMERGENCY INTERIM RATE INCREASE
On January 13, 2020, the Midland Public Service District (District) requested an application requesting a requesting a sewer rate increase.
On the recommendation of Commission Staff, the Commission approved an emergency interim rate increase of 7.24% for the District effective immediately. The specific rates approved are as follows:
RATES
First 3,000 gallons used per month $9.78 per1,000 gallons
Next 3,000 gallons used per month $9.43 per1,000 gallons
Next 4,000gallons used per month $9.00 per1 ,000 gallons
All over 10,000 gallons used per month $8.65 per 1,000 gallons
FLAT RATE CHARGE
Equivalent of 4,000 gallons of water, $3 8.77.
MINIMUM CHARGE
$24.64 per month, plus an additional $1.57 per 1,000 gallons of water used per month.
This emergency interim rate increase is applicable to all customers of the District, and are subject to refund if not justified by a final decision in this matter. Customers may review the specific emergency interim rate changes at the District’s office.
These rates are interim rates only and may be increased, decreased or left unchanged at the conclusion of this rate case. The Staff of the Commission will recommend final rates for use by the District. Those rates will be published at a later date and may be protested at that time.
