NOTICE OF FILING
On February 4, 2020, Sunrise Sanitation Services, Inc., filed a petition requesting approval to (a) standardize language in the Statement of Authority; (b) remove references in the Statement of Authority to unincorporated communities; (c) consolidate rate schedules into one part; (d) present incidental charges in one part; (e) add optional curb cart service; (f) add a bad check charge; (g) add a Freon charge; and (h) add an identification sticker requirement. The changes would affect P.S.C. M.C. Certificate Nos. F-5921, F-6133, F-6269, F-6393, F-6983, F-7023, F- 7470, F-7535 and F-5979.
More specifically, the filing requests an extra bag charge of $1.25 per bag for every bag over six bags. It also offers an optional cart service allowing rental of garbage carts for $5.00 a month plus a $20.00 delivery fee and a $10.00 set up fee. It establishes a security deposit of 1/12 estimated annual charges. It establishes a bad check charge of $25.00. It establishes a $40.00 freon charge. It establishes an identification sticker requirement at the option of the hauler.
On May 4, 2020, Staff recommends approval of the tariff changes for all the certificates, provided proper notice is provided and there aren’t substantial protests.
Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or notice of intervention within ten days following the date of this publication unless otherwise modified by Commission order. If no protests are received, the Commission may waive formal hearing and render its decision on the application based on the evidence submitted with the application and the Commission’s review thereof. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rules on intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.
