Sealed Bids for Glenville State College Science Building HVAC Renovations will be received by Glenville State College at the office of The Thrasher Group, Inc., 300 Association Drive, Charleston, WV, until 3:00 p.m., L.P.T., on Thursday, July 16, 2020, for furnishing labor and materials and per¬forming all Work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all Bids which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:30 p.m., L.P.T. through live-stream, as social distancing guidelines will be followed. A link for the live-stream of the Bid Opening will be provided via Addendum.
The approximate quantities of Work to be Bid upon is as described as follows:
Replacement of two natural gas fired boilers and associated piping and components and repairs to roof top unit and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
The Work will be substantially completed within 90 calendar days from Notice to Commence. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per calendar day.

A two envelope system will be used.
Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front:
Name and address of Bidder
Bid on Glenville State College Science Building HVAC Renovations
Received by The Thrasher Group, Inc. on behalf of Glenville State College
Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1.
Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of Bids.
Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Glenville State College, an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid.
Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor’s license on the date of Bid Opening.
Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders.
Glenville State College reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held via conference call, Call-in-Number: 304-848-6940; Conference Number: 1101869; and Go-To-Meeting as the following address the https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/605339725 on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., L.P.T. Site visits will be scheduled at time.
