LEGAL NOTICE
City of Vienna
On or about August 13, 2020, the City of Vienna will submit to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development its One Year Action Plan for 2020- 2021. This Plan projects the use of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds by the City of Vienna. The total amount of funds available is $107,954.00. The following is a summary of the proposed uses of these federal entitlement funds for fiscal year 2020 – 2021.

1. ADA Accessibility:
 ADA Walkway – tennis court sidewalk to the Shelter
near the tennis courts – $3,220

ADA Walkway in Jackson Park connecting access
road to ADA Restrooms – $2,260

ADA items for Spencer Park Restroom
replacement – $15,000

2. Enhancement/Public Services
Housing – Energy Efficient Windows and Doors
Replacement Program $28,237

Housing – Minor Home Improvement Program –
Roof, Gutters/Downspouts, and HVAC $28,237

Demolition – $16,000

3. Planning and Administration – $15,000

TOTAL – $107,954

The purpose of this public notice is to inform affected citizens and to invite public comments on the proposed budget of the Community Development Block Grant Program. As part of its Citizen Participation Plan, the City will hold a public hearing on the proposed plan on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 4:00 pm in the Vienna City Building, City Council Chambers, 609 29th Street, Vienna, WV. The City will also receive written comments on this proposed plan until August 10, 2020. Comments should be submitted to:

If local and/or national circumstances should dictate, the City of Vienna will hold this public hearings via a live stream. If necessary, please go to the City of Vienna’s webpage and click on the live stream button. During the live stream, questions can be directed to 304-481-6409.
The City will consider comments received, and if neccessary, modify the proposed budget. The proposed plan is available for review during business hours in the Office of the Vienna Finance Director 9 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday beginning July 13, 2020.
