Pursuant to the implementing regulations of the National Environmental Policy Act and Federal Aviation Administration policies and procedures for implementing NEPA, the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport Authority is hereby providing official notice of public review for the Environmental Assessment document prepared for the following project:
Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport – Obstruction Removal (Runway 5-23 Approaches)

This is an issuance of a revised draft Environmental Assessment based on comments received during the public review period for the review draft issued January 2020.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY: The Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport Authority is pursuing a project to address obstructions in the approach surfaces of Runways 5 and 23 at the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport. The project will consist of clearing 16.14 acres of trees, trimming 12.37 acres of trees and removing or lowering 5 structures.
PROJECT LOCATION: The proposed project will occur in the vicinity of the Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport in Elkins, West Virginia. The proposed project locations are generally shown below.
