ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Wirt County Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids for the upcoming Wirt County High School Asphalt Sealing, Patching, and Restriping Project. A sealed bid must be hand-delivered to: Wirt County Board of Education, 389 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV 26143, or mailed to Wirt County Board of Education, 189 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, West Virginia by 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2020. The bids will be opened immediately following the deadline. The required completion date for the project is Friday, August 21, 2020. The bids must be labeled “Wirt County High School Asphalt Sealing, Patching, and Restriping Project”. The Wirt County Board of Education reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids.

The project specifications include the following:
1. Grind area as needed (perimeter grinding)
2. Clean and sweep the area
3. Clean, sweep, and place hot pour crack filler in
cracks 1/4″ and larger (no alligatored areas)
4. Patch larger voids in current asphalt
5. Place 2 coats of coal tar emulsion asphalt sealer
6. Restripe lot as is currently
Checklist for Bidding; includes the following:
1. Provide copy of liability insurance
2. Provide copy of WV Worker’s Compensation coverage
3. Business License
4. Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit
5. Complete W-9
6. Complete No Debt Affidavit
7. If bid is over $25,000 (bond will be required)
