SISTERSVILLE WATER SUPPLY
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Sistersville
Water Supply project will be received by mail by the
Tyler County Public Service District office at PO
Box 138, Friendly, WV 26146 or in person at the time
of the bid opening at the Sistersville Volunteer Fire
Department located at 121 Maple Lane, Sistersville,
WV 26175 until 1:00 pm local time on September 3,
2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly
opened and read.
Separate Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 –
Sistersville Water Supply. The method of bidding will be
as follows:
CONTRACT #1 – Sistersville Water Supply:
WATER LINES AND WELLFIELD: Unit price contract
to construct approximately 1,260 LF of 12″ waterline;
1,620 LF of 10″ waterline; 7,245 LF of 8″ waterline;
1,940 LF of Horizontal Directional Drilling; 40 LF of 6″
waterline; 11 gate valves, upgrading an existing well
field; 2 flushout assemblies, 1 air release assembly, 110
feet of highway bores, 60 feet of open cut with steel
casing, 40 feet of stream crossing, 1 complete Master
Meter Pit; 1 service reconnect and other work to provide
a complete operating water system.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:
Cerrone Associates, Inc., 97-14th Street, Wheeling,
WV 26003. Prospective Bidders may examine the
Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays
through Fridays between the hours of 8:00AM –
5:00PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding
Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

A five percent (%5) Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check
must accompany all bids. The Owner reserves the right
to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No
Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the
actual date of the opening thereof.
