PUBLIC NOTICE

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the Town of Beverly to construct a sanitary collection system rehabilitation in Beverly, Randolph County, West Virginia. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act(NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties.Notice is hereby given that the project is proposed to be located in, or may affect, a floodplain as defined by Executive Order (EO)11988.

The project will mitigate the sanitary sewer system from future flood damages by replacing and improving the sewer collection elements. The project will be located along Railroad St., Water St., Omar Dr., Robin St., Edmonton Ave., and parallel to Route 55. Project information is available for review in the Beverly Town Hall at 5 Walnut Avenue, Beverly, WV 26253. Due to COVID-19, there is only one person allowed in the main lobby at a time. Please call the office at 304.636.5360 to schedule a time to review the project documents.

Comments received in the EDA Regional Office by 5:00 pm eastern on Monday, September 21, 2020 will be considered. A copy of the NEPA/NHPA decisional document will be available upon request at the above EDA Regional Office.
