Notice is hereby given that J.F. ALLEN COMPANY, PO BOX 2049, 2133 OLD WESTON RD., BUCKHANNON, WV 26201 has submitted an application for RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit No. Q201900 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600 in order to remove Greenbrier Limestone by conducting quarry and underground operations.
The operation is discharging into an unnamed tributary of Left Fork and Slab Fork of Left Fork of Chenoweth Creek on the Monongahela River and is located 4.5 miles, southeast of Elkins in Beverly and Leadsville Districts of Randolph County, Longitude 79* 45′ 54″ and Latitude 38* 53′ 13″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 10-9-20, or thirty (30) days from the date of publication. A copy of the application will be available for review in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
