Notice is hereby given that APPALACHIAN AGGREGATES, LLC, 171 ST CLAIRS CROSSING, BLUEFIELD, VA 24605 has submitted an application for RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit Number Q004078 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, in order to remove limestone by conducting quarrying operations.
The operation is discharging into Left Branch of Mill Run of Cheat River and is located 4.0 miles, west of THOMAS in ST. GEORGE District of Tucker County, Longitude 79*35’30” and Latitude 39*08’18” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until December 13, 2020, or thirty (30) days from the date of publication. A copy of the application will be available for review in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
