The Town of Beverly will be holding its General Election on May 3, 2021 for the position of a mayor, one (1) recorder, and five (5) council members. All are two (2) year terms. Any citizen eligible to hold office and desiring to appear on the ballot must file a Candidate’s Certificate of Announcement. the filing period will begin at 8 a.m., Mon., Jan. 11, 2021 and closes at midnight on Sat., Jan. 30, 2021. Candidates may file in person from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Fri. (excluding Jan. 18th.) The filing may be made by mail, providing the filing is postmarked by the US Postal Service no later than midnight Sat., Jan. 30, 2021. The proper filing fee of $50.00 for mayor or $25.00 for recorder/city council members must accompany the Certificate of Announcement. Forms may be picked up at the Beverly Town Hall located at 5 Walnut Ave. during normal business hours.
