MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Back Fork IRTC Sale is a stewardship contract located 10 miles Northwest of Bartow WV, in Randolph County, in the headwaters of McGee Run. The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals (no public meeting) by mail only at the Forest Supervisor’s Office at 2:00 PM local time on 05/06/2021. Mail proposals to: Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241, ATTN: Back Fork IRTC Sale. This sale has an estimated volume of 506 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 1191 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 140 CCF of Hardwood – Other (BI, Hic, Loc, Elm) sawtimber, 329 CCF of Oak (WO, CO, SO) sawtimber, 621 CCF of Red & Black Oak sawtimber, 251 CCF of Yellow Poplar (YP, Bass, Cuc) sawtimber, and 288 CCF of Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Also included in the contract is one (1) mandatory restorative service project to be completed by the Contractor. The contract will be awarded based on a Best Value Determination. One award will be made to the offeror (a) whose proposal is technically acceptable and (b) whose technical/price relationship is the most advantageous to the Government. The ForestService reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. A prospectus, solicitation form, and complete information concerning the timber, the restorative service project, and complete conditions of the contract are available to the public from the Forest Supervisor’s Office, or Greenbrier Ranger District.
