MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Red Strip Sale is locatedin Pocahontas County, 25 miles NW of Marlinton, WV, in the headwatersof North Fork of the Gauley River.The Forest Service will receive sealed bids by mail or courier service only, and results will be publicly posted on the Monongahela National Forest Timber website as soon as practical after bid opening. Mail bids to Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241, ATTN: RedStrip Timber Sale. Bids shall be postmarked and received prior to 2:00 PM local time on 04/29/2021. There is an estimated volume of 2300 CCF of Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and completeinformation concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the publicfrom the Marlinton-White Sulphur Ranger District.
