INVITATION FOR BIDS

BULLMAN WATERLINE EXTENSION
Sealed bids for the construction of the Union Williams Public Service District’s Bullman Waterline Extension will be received by the Union Williams P.S.D. until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., April 29, 2021, at their offices located at 4468 Williamstown Pike, Williamstown, WV 26187 for furnishing labor, materials, and performing all the work set forth in the Form of Proposal. Bids will be opened at 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., April 29, 2021. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work to be bid upon is described as follows: BULLMAN WATERLINE EXTENSION – consists of the construction of approximately 800 LF 2″ SDR13.5 PVC, CIP; 10 LF 1 1/4″ SDR 13.5, CIP; 20 LF 1 1/4″ SDR 13.5 (Bored), CIP; 25 LF 3/4″ Type K Copper Service Line, CIP; 1 EA 3/4″ Saddle & Corp Stop (Blow-off), CIP; 1 EA Meter Setting, Complete; 1 EA 2″ PVC Cap, CI; 710 LF Type C Gravel Trench Replacement, CIP; 1 LS Hydropneumatic booster station & all work shown on Drawing 2004B-2, CIP; 1 LS Preconstruction Video, Complete & Delivered to Owner; 25 Ton Special Fill Material, CIP; 1LS Mobilization / Demobilization and all other necessary work and appurtenances required for a complete and operable water distribution system as shown on the plans and described in the specifications.
The total construction time for Contract No. 1 is limited to ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the date specified in the contract documents.

Plans and Specifications are available at the offices of Dunn Engineers, Inc., 400 South Ruffner Road, Charleston, WV, upon payment of two hundred dollars ($200.00), which is not subject to refund. All Bidders must purchase plans and bid forms from the Engineer in order to bid. Bidders wishing to have plans mailed will provide their own Federal Express or UPS account number for shipping charges to be billed directly to their own account.
The successful low bidder will be provided four (4) complete set of plans and specifications at no additional cost after the contract has been signed. Any additional sets of plans and detail specifications that are requested will be provided at a cost of two hundred dollars ($200.00). Payment by either cash or check must be made upon delivery.
A Bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Union Williams Public Service District, Williamstown, Wood County, West Virginia, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid.
All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License as per Section 21-11-11 of the WV Code. The prospective bidder’s license number must be included in the Envelope No. 1 as per the Bid Opening Checklist. All subcontractors shall furnish their WV Contractor’s License number to the prime contractor prior to award of the contract.
The Union Williams Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
