Wood County Schools in conjunction with Coplin Health Systems is constructing a new community-based health clinic inside of the Parkersburg High School Annex. The project will consist of general trades in minor demolition, new partitions, ceilings, doors, and casework.The new space will have plumbing adjustments for new restrooms and new electrical distribution from existing and new electrical panels to support the new spaces. A new Roof Top Unit for HVAC and corresponding ductwork will be installed. The project is split into two phases and contractors are requested to bid both phases. Phase 1 is generally described as the demolition, layout, partitions, and MEP rough-in including complete HVAC systems and balancing, essentially a shell space project. For Phase 2, the contractor shall provide pricing from the Phase 2 drawings and coded notes to supply and construct the space to completion generally including all finishes, casework, fixtures, and ceilings. If Phase 2 is not chosen due to costs, the owner will complete Phase 2 activities and then the HVAC contractor will come back in and install grills and balance system. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Parkersburg High School Annex located at 2101 Dudley Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Bids will be due at 12:00 pm on May 21, 2021, in care of Mrs. Whitni Kines at the Wood County Board of Education at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.
