FAYETTE / RALEIGH MPO TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AMENDMENT #1 PUBLIC REVIEW NOTICE The public is hereby made aware that the FY 2015-2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) of the Fayette / Raleigh Metropolitan Planning Organization (FRM) is being amended in accordance with the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) concurrently with the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan and in cooperation with the West Virginia Division of Transportation (WVDOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Association (FTA), and the New River Transit Authority (NRT). Public review will begin Monday, April 18, 2016 and will conclude at the close of business at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016. The TIP for the greater Beckley, WV Metropolitan Statistical Area (all of Fayette and Raleigh counties) includes priority projects and programs for which implementation is anticipated during the fiscal years of FY 2015 through FY 2019. More specifically, the TIP describes all highway and transit (both capital and operating) projects for which federal funding is anticipated and provides a financial plan for implementation. The amendments will be available for review at the office of the Oak Hill City Hall at 100 Kelly Avenue, Oak Hill, West Virginia, and the Beckley City Hall at 409 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, West Virginia, as well as at the offices of the Region 4 Planning and Development Council at 885 Broad Street, Suite 100, Summersville, West Virginia, and Region 1 Planning and Development Council at 1439 East Main Street, Suite #5, Princeton, West Virginia. Amendments also available for review on the MPO’s website at www.frmpo.org. The FRM Policy Board will consider approval of the amendments at its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting to be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Pies & Pints, 219 West Maple Avenue, Fayetteville, West Virginia.
