REQUEST FOR BIDS Kitchen and Cafeteria Roof Replacement The Mercer County Board of Education invites bids to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation for replacing only the kitchen and cafeteria roof section at Spanishburg Elementary School. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the school located at 8544 Beckley Road, Spanishburg, WV 25922. The bid package will be distributed at the pre-bid meeting. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia in an amount equal to five (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Mercer County Board of Education, shall be submitted with the bid. All bidders must submit a copy of their contractor license as required by Chapter 21 of the West Virginia Code. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond. The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the West Virginia workers’ compensation laws, and provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the bid package.
