REQUEST FOR BIDS Montcalm High School Softball Field Lights and Electrical Service The Mercer County Board of Education invites bids to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation for installing four lights with needed electrical service at the Montcalm High School softball field. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the softball field site which is located directly across the road from Montcalm Elementary School, Route 2, Box 35, Rock, WV 24747. The bid package will only be distributed at the pre-bid meeting. Vendors may inspect the site at the meeting. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Mercer County Board of Education, shall be submitted with the bid. All bidders must submit a copy of their current contractor’s license as required by Chapter 21 of the West Virginia Code. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Laws, provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents and submit a State of West Virginia Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the bid package.
