REQUEST FOR BIDS PikeView High School Multipurpose Building The Mercer County Board of Education invites bids to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation for erecting a new 50 foot x 70 foot metal pre-engineered multipurpose building at the PikeView High School location. The building is being supplied by the Board and we are seeking bids for a turnkey project. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on April 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at PikeView High School, 3566 Eads Mill Road, Princeton, WV. The bid package will only be distributed at the pre-bid meeting. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Mercer County Board of Education, shall be submitted with the bid. All bidders must submit a copy of their current contractor’s license as required by Chapter 21 of the West Virginia Code. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Laws, provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents, and submit a State of West Virginia Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. Final contract payment will not be made to the vendor until all certifications of compliance with West Virginia Code c5A-3-10a, c11-10-11(d) and c21-A-2-6c (a) for payment of applicable state and county taxes has been obtained. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the bid package.
