REQUEST FOR BIDS
Summers County Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids now through 10:00 a.m., May 7, 2019 on a newly constructed tiny house. The house was constructed by the “Bobcat Construction LLC” students at Summers County High School. The outside dimensions of the house are 12 feet 5 inches wide by 20 feet 4 inches long. Total height of the house is 15 feet 6 inches at its highest point. This house is equipped with Pella Advance Energy Efficient windows and doors. It also has R-30 insulation in the ceiling and R-19 insulation in the walls. The exterior is covered with true cedar siding and a durable metal roof. Room dimensions: Kitchen – 11 feet 1 inch by 7 feet 7 inches; Bathroom – 5 feet by 4 feet 10 inches; Living Room – 5 feet 9 inches by 11 feet 1 inch; and an upstairs loft – 11 feet 7 by 11 feet 1.
You may view the house on May 2, 2019 from 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Summers County High School. Minimum bid is $8,843.16 and sales tax will be added at the time of sale. Bids will be read on May 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. and a 10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} non-refundable deposit is due at the opening for the awarded bid. The house will be sold “as is” and the seller will not be responsible for vandalism after board approval of the sale. The buyer is encouraged to carry insurance.
