Activity:
To modify an existing permit to acquire, construct, install, operate and maintain improvements at the existing wastewater treatment plant to be comprised of a 0.7-meter sludge dewatering belt filter press, an extension to the existing pre-engineered metal control building to house the belt filter press, sludge feed pump and extending of the existing three (3) inch diameter waste sludge piping, extending the existing two (2) inch diameter nonpotable water piping, chemical polymer feed facilities, extending the existing one (1) inch diameter potable water piping, four (4) inch diameter filtrate drain piping, a belt conveyor unit for sludge truck loading, necessary electrical and control panel work, and all requisite appurtenances. These facilities are to provide for the onsite processing of the sludge generated by the wastewater treatment plant.

On the basis of review of the application, the “Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 22, Article 11-8(a)),” and the “West Virginia Legislative Rules,” the State of West Virginia will act on the above application.
Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit modification and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Such comments or requests should be addressed to:

The public comment period begins March 6, 2019 and ends April 5, 2019.
Comments received within this period will be considered prior to acting on the permit modification application. Correspondence should include the name, address and the telephone number of the writer and a concise statement of the nature of the issues raised. The Director shall hold a public hearing whenever a finding is made, on the basis of requests, that there is a significant degree of public interest on issues relevant to the Draft Permit Modification(s). Interested persons may contact the public information office to obtain further information.
The application, draft permit modification and any required fact sheet may be inspected, by appointment, at the Division of Water and Waste Management Public Information Office, at 601 57th Street SE, Charleston, WV, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on business days. Copies of the documents may be obtained from the Division at a nominal cost.
