TAZEWELL COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE AUTHORITY
REQUEST FOR ENGINEERING PROPOSALS
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN PROJECT – PHASE II
The Tazewell County Public Service Authority is soliciting qualification statements and proposals from qualified engineering firms for services related to the above mentioned project. MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Interested firms must comply with the following: The President’s Executive Order Number 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Order Numbers 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Davis Bacon Act and American Iron and Steel requirements. Interested firms must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The required engineering services may include, but not be limited to: engineering studies, surveying, permits, preparation of engineering design and construction documents, resident inspection, easement preparation, related agency approvals, bid advertisement, document preparation, attendance at public and staff meetings when necessary, and performance of other engineering and surveying services as required. Qualified, licensed firms shall submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 as part of their proposal. Five (5) bound copies of the proposal shall be submitted by 2:00 p.m. May 15, 2019 in order to be considered. Box 190, North Tazewell, Virginia 24630, or Overnight/Express to 168 Tazewell Mall Circle, Tazewell, Virginia 24651. All selections will be made in accordance with the Virginia State Procurement laws and Tazewell County Public Service Authority purchasing policy. The Tazewell County Public Service Authority reserves the right to reject any/or all proposals in whole or in part, to waive any informality and to base all conclusions, decisions, and actions in accordance with the best interests of the Tazewell County Public Service Authority.
