FY 2017 DIRECT ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION

PLAN FOR USE OF FUNDS

 

On September 5, 2017, the City of Parkersburg and Wood County Commission intend to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $30,656. This funding was allocated to the City of Parkersburg and the Wood County Commission for the FY 2017 Federal Appropriations Bill to assist local law enforcement to purchase necessary equipment or reduce recidivism rates as well as improve mental health services, indignant defense. The U.S. Department of Justice is committed to working with local law enforcement agencies to ensure this funding is used to invest in the American workforce.

 

The joint application will be available for review starting on August 23, 2017. Copies will be available at the Parkersburg Municipal Building: Development Department (One Government Square, Fifth Floor, Parkersburg, WV 26102) and online at: http://parkersburgcity.com/pc/services-2/planning- development/reports/#1494447099903-b0827c9a-7930. The joint application will be available for review through September 21, 2017. Any comments received will be taken into consideration and/or incorporated into the application.
