Separate sealed Bids for the Paw Paw Water Line Extension for the Buchanan County Public Service Authority, which consists of the installationof approximately 8,200 linear feet (L.F.) of 8-inch water line, 6,400 L.F. of 4-inch water line, 1,150 L.F. of 2-inch water line, and other associated appurtenances required to effectively provide water to 67 residents of the Hurley community,will be received by Mr. Bob Anderson, Executive Director, at the office of BCPSA office, 1023 Old Benns Branch Road, Oakwood, VA 24631, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on January 29, 2020, and then at said officepublicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the BCPSA office, 1023 Old Benns Branch, Oakwood, VA; at Thompson & Litton, 103 E. Main Street, Wise, VA;and online at TRASCO (http://www.trascoplanroom.com).

Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com.

A non-mandatoryPre-Bid Conference will be held on January 14, 2020at 10:00A.M. All interested parties are requestedto meet the Engineer at BCPSA office located at 1023 Old Benns Branch Road, Oakwood, VAat that time.

Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the Code of Virginia ( 2.2-4330).

Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.

This is a federally assisted project. Bidders and Contractors performing work under this advertisement are bound by the requirements of President’s Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; the Davis-Bacon Act; the Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act; and Public Law 100 202.

MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids.

The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s).

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.
