NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Wood County Civil Service Commission will conduct an
Entrance test for Deputy Sheriff on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Physical agility portion of the test will be held at 9:00 A.M. at Jackson Middle School, 1601 34th Street, Vienna WV. The written portion will be held the same day at the Judge Black Annex, 317 Market Street, Parkersburg WV after the physical agility test.
Applications will be accepted through September 18, 2024 at noon.
WV State age requirement is 18-45 years. (§7-14-8).
Physical Agility requirements are as follows:
1. 1.5 mile run to be completed in less than 14.36 minutes 2. 28 sit-ups in 1 minute 3. 18 push-ups in 1 minute
