Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Eight Thousand Two hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($8,250.00) plus interest from the date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
FIRST: BEGINNING on the north side of 15th Street between Park and Oak Streets 100 feet eastward from Park Street and thence northward and parallel with said Park Street 58 feet to an alley; thence eastward and parallel to 16th Street and with the line of said alley 35 feet to a point; thence southward and parallel to said Park Street 58 feet to 15th Street; and thence westward with the line of 15th Street to the place of beginning.
SECOND: BEGINNING on the northerly side of 15th Street at a point 62 feet and 5 inches easterly from the intersection of 15th Street and Park Street, said point being a corner to a lot conveyed by H.S. Page to David Fleming, by deed dated March 14, 1923 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Deed Book 182 at page 138, and thence easterly with th line of 15th Street 37 feet and 7 inches to a point; thence northerly parallel with Park Street 34 feet to a point; thence westerly parallel with 15th Street 37 feet and 7 inches to the line of the David Fleming line mentioned above; and thence southerly with the Fleming line and parallel with Park Street 34 feet to the place of beginning.
Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.
The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Jimmy Harper Construction., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 18th day of February, 2025. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth herein above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
