Wood County Schools will be accepting bids for the Van Devender Asbestos Abatement Project. Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Abatement of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) throughout the Middle School including floor tile and other ACM. Pricing will be received based on unit quantity prices and allowance based on expected quantity of ACM. Comprehensive testing of ACM has not been completed yet since the building is currently occupied. Project is time sensitive with a school demolition project following the completion of the abatement work to commence mobilization in Mid- October 2025 to make room for a new Elementary School. Bidding documents are available at www.pickeringplanroom.com on May 20, 2025. Documents can be downloaded for free or hard copies can be ordered for the cost of printing. A Prebid meeting will be held at Van Devender Middle School located at 918 31st Street, Parkersburg, WV on May 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Bids will be due at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2025, at the Wood County Schools Board Office located at 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV, at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.
