PARKERSBURG POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ENTRY LEVEL
EXAMINATION

The Parkersburg Police Civil Service Commission will begin testing applicants for probationary police officers to establish a list of eligible candidates for the Parkersburg Police Department on SATURDAY, JULY 12, 2025, 10:00 AM. The test will be held on the second floor of the Municipal Building at One Government Square, Parkersburg WV 26101.
Applicants must be US citizens, at least 18 years of age at the time of application and possess a valid driver’s license. You must have a form signed by a doctor to allow you to take the physical agility test, which will be held the same afternoon. We are offering an incentive of $10,000.00 to be paid after a one-year probationary period for fully certified police officers.
Applications may be obtained from the Police Department on the third floor of the Municipal Building or you may obtain an application by email by calling 304- 424-8412, or our website at ppd.parkersburgwv.gov

Your application must be returned to the Police Department, third floor, by the end of day, Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
