Notice is hereby given that MARTIN MARIETTA MATERIALS, INC., 9277 CENTRE POINTE DR., Suite 250, WEST CHESTER, OH 45069 has submitted an application for RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit No.Q100599 to the Department of Environmental Protect (DEP) 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV26416-1600, in order to remove limestone by conducting underground mining operations. The operation is discharging to Laurel Fork of Bull Creek and is located 8.7 miles northeast of WALKER in WALKER/GRANT District of Wood County, longitude 81o15’45” and latitude 39o16’5″ (coordinates from USGS topographic map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until May 9, 2026, or thirty (30) days from the date of the publication.
