NOTICE REQUEST FOR BIDS Ceiling Grid and Ceiling Tile replacement at Ripley High School Bids will be accepted until 11:00 am on April 30, 2026 by the Jackson County Board of Education for the removal of old ceiling grid and tile and installation of new grid and tile at Ripley High School. More information and specific details are listed in the Scope of Work. Work may begin on June 1, 2026 and be must be completed by August 8, 2026. Contractors not previously employed by Jackson County Schools to perform such services must provide a detailed written description of their qualifications to complete this installation and two references of similar work provided for other clients. Bids should be submitted to Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent, P.O. Box 770, Ripley, WV 25271. Envelopes should be marked “Ripley High Ceiling Tile”. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be held in the Jackson County Board office at 10:00 am on April 23, 2026 where contractors will receive a copy of the Scope of Work and visit the construction site. Within ten (10) days of the contract award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish written verification of Workers Compensation Coverage, liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 and a general contractor’s license for the State of West Virginia. The Jackson County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process.
