REQUEST FOR QUOTATION THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM The Board of Education of the County of Putnam, Winfield, WV, will receive bids for spot paving/paving at various school locations in the County until 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time on June 9th, 2026, at the office of the Putnam County Board of Education, 77 Courthouse Drive, Winfield, WV 25213. At which time all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on June 2nd, 2026. The initial meeting place will be at the Putnam County Schools central office location at 77 Courthouse Drive, Winfield, WV 25213. Each school location will be visited on this day. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the Board of Education of the County of Putnam Central Office located at 77 Courthouse Drive, Winfield, WV 25213. Scott Coyner at 304-586-1650. Each bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bid in order for the Bid to be considered. All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each bidder Contractors license shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. The Board of Education of the County of Putnam, Winfield, West Virginia, reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A satisfactory bid bond (no company checks) furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to Five percent (5%) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Board of Education of the County of Putnam, Winfield, West Virginia, shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and the fee for the same shall be included in their bid. The successful bidder and all subcontractors must pay the West Virginia Department of Labor minimum wage rates established for Putnam County, pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-5-1 et.
